Associate Accountant

Responsibilities
  • Bookkeeping:

    Record day-to-day financial transactions accurately in the general ledger.

    Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records and documentation.

  • Accounts Payable and Receivable:

    Process invoices, expense reports, and ensure timely payment to vendors.

    Assist in the preparation of customer invoices and follow up on accounts receivable.

  • Bank Reconciliation:

    Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy.

    Investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

  • Financial Reporting:

    Prepare and generate routine financial reports, including income statements and balance sheets.

    Assist in the analysis of financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.

  • Compliance and Audit Support:

    Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

    Collaborate with internal and external auditors during audit processes.

  • Assist in Budgeting and Forecasting:

    Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts.

    Analyze budget variances and provide explanations as needed.

  • Financial Software Utilization:

    Utilize accounting software and tools proficiently for data entry, reconciliation, and reporting.

    Stay updated on industry best practices and recommend improvements in financial processes.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:

    Collaborate with colleagues in different departments to gather financial information and resolve queries.

    Provide support during special projects and initiatives as required.

Skills and qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience or internship in accounting is a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
